2020 Daffodil Bouquet Sales
President Stacey Swain and Chairpersons Elaine Centazzo and Vicki Caruso presented Brian at Pink Hands of Hope with a check for $680 courtesy of Upper Allen Womans Club and Garden Bouquet of Mechanicsburg. Thanks to Robin Reynolds from Garden Bouquet, who donated the daffodils, the entire amount collected for the spring fundraiser was donated. Thank you to club members for selling the bouquets!

HATS, SCARVES, GLOVES/MITTENS CONTEST
October is
Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Month.
Hats, scarves, gloves and mittens are needed by women and children in
Pennsylvania's Domestic Violence Shelters.
Our club once again participated in the State GFWC Initiative for Domestic Violence.
Thanks to all who donated new or handmade items in October 2019.
We're thankful to share our talents, resources, and caring for those in need.

Sleepwear Collection
A huge thank you to all who participated in our sleepwear collection on January 20th. 63 sleepwear items were collected for adults and children including pajamas, robes, nightgowns, and socks. The items were shared with the clients/families at Domestic Violence Services of Cumberland & Perry Counties
(DVSC/P) and Harrisburg YWCA.
Domestic violence affects people of all cultures, religions, ages, sexual orientation, education, background, and income levels. Did you know?
MYTH: Unless my partner physically hits me, I'm not in an abusive relationship.
FACT: Violence takes all forms. It can include emotional abuse is defined as manipulation of feelings using derogatory language, accusations, comments, or mind games to make the partner feel worthless, helpless, or afraid. Verbal abuse includes shouting, threatening, intimidating, or manipulating. Physical abuse includes pushing, shoving, hitting, kicking, punching, or threatening with a weapon. Sexual abuse includes mistreatment by means of sexual objectification, forced sexual acts, demands, insults, or physical attacks on intimate body parts. The journey to leave begins on the inside.
