UAWC FOUNDATION
Advancing the Welfare of the Community
The Upper Allen Woman’s Club Foundation was established by the Upper Allen Woman’s Club GFWC as its tax exempt arm. The Upper Allen Woman’s Club Foundation works to advance the welfare of the community. The Foundation has funded several library programs, supported the Upper Allen Fire Department, provided playground equipment to Friendship Park, purchased GPS units for the West Shore EMS, and contributed to the local Domestic Violence Services. Annually we also provide several $2,500 scholarships to graduating high school seniors. Other beneficiaries include the Mechanicsburg Museum Association, and numerous charities. The Middle School Female Student Award recognizes young ladies making an effort to be good community members. Most recently, through the Foundation, $10,000 was given to the Joseph T. Simpson Library toward the purchase of a digital signage board and hardware for the main floor of the library.
